Cllr Bev Fernandes recently visited the Spinners and Weavers Studio in Staplehay, Trull, to celebrate its 30th anniversary. During her visit, she tried her hand at weaving on a complex eight-shaft loom and was praised for her skill. She spent the morning engaging with spinners and weavers, exploring the studio's equipment, and admiring the variety of work produced by both teachers and students. The mayor also took a tour of the exhibition and paused to appreciate the Somerset Tapestry, which was woven at the studio.
