Alabama’s 2026 quarterback competition has reached the point where simply making plays may not be enough to separate Austin Mack and Keelon Russell. For second-year Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, it may come down to what happens after the play doesn't go their way. Because while everyone will be watching for the big throws, Grubb will be watching something far less obvious: command. "But I’m definitely looking for command because they’re both capable physically of making all the plays.
