A man accused of being under the influence during an alleged high-speed crash in Miami back in April that left another driver dead has been arrested, authorities said.
Maykel Mulet-Sanchez, 28, was arrested Monday on charges of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide in a reckless manner, Miami-Dade jail records showed.
According to an arrest report, Mulet-Sanchez was driving a Hyundai Sonata and was speeding as he approached the intersection and collided with a Honda Accord.
Mulet-Sanchez was hospitalized with a possible fractured jaw, and the front passenger of the Sonata was hospitalized and confirmed Mulet-Sanchez was the driver, the report said.
Blood samples were taken from Mulet-Sanchez and tested, and came back at .113, above Florida's legal limit of .08, the report said.
