Favour Okeoma, of Bradley Road in Wrexham, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Monday.
The 58-year-old admitted one offence of driving without insurance, which took place on Hill Street, Wrexham.
Prosecutor Brian Robinson told the court that during the early hours of June 16 last year, police stopped a red Fiat Panda.
Okeoma was, at that time, conducting delivery work for Just Eat - and when asked to produce insurance documentation, he was unable to log into the relevant app to do so.
Checks conducted at the time showed he did have an insurance policy, but it did not cover business or delivery use.
