The Ojai Raptor Center has announced the sad news that Jackie passed away in the early hours of Monday morning, August 10, after three weeks of intensive medical care for an undiagnosed medical condition. Jackie is one-half of Jackie & Shadow, the internet-famous pair of wild bald eagles of Big Bear Valley. Millions watched the two raise their baby eaglets on the 24/7 streams by Friends of Big Bear Valley.In the meantime, Ojai Raptor Center received an intense emotional reaction to the care that Jackie received in the last few weeks of her life. Some spectators even showed up at the vets' homes and demanded more information. Today California and NBC NewsJackie is forever the Queen of Big Bear Valley. RIP. <3
