Kolkata: Cricketer Abishek Porel, who has played for Bengal and for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been arrested after a medical student accused him of rape. Porel was arrested by the Mogra police station, in the Hooghly district of West Bengal, on Tuesday. ADVERTISEMENTIn the complaint, the woman claimed that Porel had a sexual relationship with her after promising marriage. She even alleged that Porel had promised to marry her but is now unwilling to do so. Porel had denied the charges after the complaint was lodged.
