The demolition of a fire-damaged high-rise building in the former Baťa factory complex in Zlín which was launched last Friday continues. About one-third of the building remains standing, according to the company Cream, which had its headquarters in the 11-storey building, and also used it for warehouses and offices. The building caught fire more than a month ago, with parts of its northern and western sides subsequently collapsing. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the blaze, a process expected to take several months. Early reports suggest negligence may have been to blame.
