Prague is preparing a major reconstruction of the historic Karlín Barracks. City councillors have approved a tender for the preparation of project documentation, at an estimated cost of around CZK 120 million. Once renovated, the complex is expected to host shops, offices and spaces for culture and the arts. The total cost of the reconstruction is estimated at around CZK 2 billion, with completion expected within six years.
