-- The Humane Society of St. Joseph County is seeking help from the community to adopt or foster approximately 36 shelter dogs. The Humane Society strongly encourages applications to be submitted by Aug. 13. Adoption fees will be waived off for all dogs through Aug. 18. The Humane Society will provide foster families with the supplies needed to care for their foster dog, including food, bedding and toys, collar, harness, leash, and any necessary medications. Foster applicants should complete the Humane Society’s foster application by Thursday, so staff have time to coordinate placements before the Aug.18 deadline.
