The Armadale train line is set to reopen in full with a major community celebration to mark the occasion. The free, family friendly event Elevate and Celebrate, on Sunday October 12 will commemorate three key milestones: the return of Armadale line services, opening of the Byford extension, and opening of the 7km Long Park. Dogs are welcome at Long Park but pets are not allowed on Transperth facilities, except assistance animals. SmartRider holders will be able to travel for free on the Sunday, with special event train services running more frequently from Perth. Regular passenger services on the Armadale line will begin Monday, October 13.
