Decision announced after plans submitted to turn Glasgow shop into yoga studio
['Morgan Carmichael']
Glasgow Times | News
The application was submitted to Glasgow City Council in June by Tribe Yoga - a group of yoga, Pilates and cycle studios across Edinburgh and London.
If approved, it would have been Tribe's first Glasgow studio.
The organisation were looking to take over 179 Dumbarton Road in Partick, sits beneath residential apartments and was most recently occupied by Ximi Vogue, a retailer of branded products and limited foodstuffs.
The retail space was formed by combining two previously separate units in 2022.
Sessions would have lasted between 45 and 60 minutes and would be available by pre-booking only—meaning no walk-ins or casual use.
