Violence Prevention Week is running from Monday, August 10, to Sunday, August 16, looking at what the force is doing to safeguard children and young people from violent crime. Throughout the week, Police Scotland will share examples of work driven by local officers, alongside partners from the Scottish Violence Unit, local authorities, education, health, social work, and the third sector to protect young people from harm. It came after several incidents involving under 18s which resulted in the deaths of three young people.
