Lovers of mid-size wagons might want to take a Bex and have a good lie down, because a Reddit user has spotted the BYD Seal 06 DM-i wagon on the streets of Canberra. While the sedan version of the Seal 06 DM-i was photographed by an alert BYD fan in August, this may be the first confirmed sighting of the wagon on Australian streets. The Seal 06 DM-i is around the same size as the Mazda 6 wagon that left our shores at the beginning of the year. Whereas the electric-only Seal sedan rides on an EV-specific architecture, the Seal 06 utilises a different platform. Compared to the Seal sedan, the Seal 06 DM-i wagon is 50mm longer, 15mm wider, 45mm taller, but has a 130mm shorter wheelbase.
