Martin gave the Twins an early lead in the third inning when he launched a solo home run to left-center field. The home run gave the Twins a 1-0 lead, but Kremer quickly became the biggest story of the night. Perhaps just as importantly, Kremer gave the Twins length at a time when their bullpen desperately needed it. The only run Kremer allowed came in an unusual sequence in the fourth inning. The offensive outburst was exactly what the Twins needed after struggling to consistently put runs on the board during their recent skid.
