The Yampa Ranch Historic Barn and Granary is a rare surviving example of agricultural construction in the Yampa Valley, according to the local nonprofit Historic Routt County . Property owner Matt Tredway, who bought the property about six years ago, worked with Historic Routt County to place it on the register. The site has been designated a historic property by Historic Routt County. “The barn and granary were designated for their significance to the cultural, economic, social and historic heritage of Routt County,” said Laura Karch, executive administrator of Historic Routt County. Historic Routt County is proud to have supported the nomination of the Yampa Ranch Historic Barn and Granary and to help ensure that these rare agricultural buildings are recognized as part of Routt County’s historic legacy.”
