The Merlindale Nature Festival was held at Merlindale, Drumelzier, on Saturday (August 1) and featured a range of organisations working to safeguard the environment in the Borders. Organised by Borders Meadows Trust, the event attracted a good turnout, with spectators enjoying the various workshops and displays. David Lintott, trustee of Borders Meadows Trust, said: “It was great, we really enjoyed it. “We had the usual suspects there – Tweed Forum, Tweed Foundation and they were brilliant. “There’s something therapeutic about seeing horses working in the field which is something not everyone gets to see.
