United Utilities is set to begin works on two streets in Prestwich starting Monday, August 10. The work will be carried out on Fairfax Road and Rectory Lane, and is aimed at modernising the network and improving service performance. The work on Fairfax Road will take place between Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 18. The work on Rectory Lane will take place between Wednesday, August 12 and Sunday, August 16. This comes after it was announced in June that Fairfax Road was set to fully reopen a month ahead of schedule.
