Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Kroger and Target Products Recalled Over Salmonella RiskTaylor Fresh Foods, based in Salinas, California, is recalling a range of finished food products containing jalapeño peppers due to possible Salmonella contamination, according to an official announcement posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on August 9, 2026.
Taylor Fresh Foods stated it is no longer sourcing products from that grower and will fill orders from alternative suppliers.
Brands affected include Trader Joe’s, Freshness Guaranteed (Walmart), Private Selection (Kroger), Taylor Farms, and unbranded items sold at Target, as well as store-brand products sold at Hannaford, Stop and Shop, and Kroger.
What Consumers Should Do With Recalled ProductsConsumers who have any of the recalled products are advised to discard them immediately and not eat them.
