PC Anthony Wright, who was 47, died on August 9, 2011, when his motorbike was involved in a collision with a car in Kidderminster. The father-of-one served with West Mercia Police for 22 years and was based at Hindlip Hall. On the 15th anniversary of his death, West Mercia Police Federation paid tribute to Anthony and remembered his 'service and sacrifice'. West Mercia Police Federation chair Gareth Spreadbury said: "Today (Sunday, August 9) we pause to remember Anthony and his service and sacrifice. "The thoughts of everyone at West Mercia Police Federation are with Anthony’s family, friends and former colleagues."
