Highlighted by its defensive performance, Rocky River defeated North Olmsted in a 35-0 shutout. On defense, we gave up some yards, which we thought we would, with the way (North Olmsted) runs. With a 6-0 first quarter lead, Rocky River jumped on the Eagles with a 22-point second quarter — taking a 28-0 halftime lead. Rocky River stays in contention for a CWC title run. For now, Rocky River is focused on the next task at hand — a road game Oct. 9 against Westlake.
