He rescued and owned the Flying Scotsman for more than two decades and served as chairman of the Railway Heritage Trust. The auction also includes artworks depicting the Flying Scotsman by celebrated railway artists David Shepherd and Terence Cuneo. The auction is set to take place at 10.30am on Wednesday, August 12 at Dreweatts’ Donnington Priory.
