A sheep named Alex was found barely able to stand beneath a 40kg fleece after years without shearing in Victoria, Australia. Edgar's Mission rescued the sheep and removed his urine-soaked, matted coat, which was almost heavy enough to break the world record. Alex is now recovering at the animal sanctuary after being found just in time, with staff saying he would likely have died without help. This video was filmed in 2022.
