Stalker who assaulted police officer in Stroud named after court case

Matthew Thorley, of Hill Paul, Cheapside, Stroud, committed the offences in Stroud between July and September last year.
He was made the subject of a stalking protection order at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on July 9, 2025.
Thorley admitted two breaches of the order under the Stalking Protection Act 2019.
For the assault on the police officer, Thorley was ordered to pay £100 in compensation.
He must comply with all elements of the community order during that period.
