Headington Shark owner demands council rethink controversial Airbnb ban
['Larissa Hurt']
Oxford Mail | News
The property in Headington, also known as the Shark House, was rented as an Airbnb for five years before Oxford City Council blocked it.
To preserve the shark, Bill’s son Magnus bought the house in 2016, and it became a star attraction on Airbnb.
"I think there is a strong case for treating the Shark House a little differently from an ordinary rental property.
Its listing had stated: "Nestled in the heart of Headington - Oxford, The Headington Shark House isn't just accommodation; it's a dive into a piece of living art history."
However, the council has defended the short-term let ban on the Shark House.
