President De La Espriella has violated international law and United Nations resolutions. On Tuesday, Syria strongly condemned the recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which are currently occupied by Israel. So far, only two countries recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights: the United States and Colombia. The Syrian Arab Republic expresses its categorical rejection and condemnation of this position and affirms that the Golan is an inseparable part of its territory. Syria also appreciates the growing international support for its legitimate rights in the occupied Syrian Golan.
