Both of Criccieth RNLI’s lifeboats were tasked at 8.35pm on Monday, August 10, following reports of a motorboat stuck on rocks near Borth-y-Gest. Two people, including a child, were on board the motorboat. Criccieth RNLI’s inshore rescue boat was transported by 4x4 to Porthmadog and launched from there, while the station’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat launched from Criccieth and made its way to the incident. A search alongside Pwllheli RNLI Lifeboat Station’s D-Class Lifeboat, with Gwylwyr y Glannau Abersoch Coastguard Rescue Team, was carried out. A statement from RNLI Criccieth Lifeboat said: "The evening saw both of Criccieth’s lifeboats responding to two separate incidents, working alongside neighbouring RNLI and Coastguard teams.
