The national newspaper picked out the ultimate ice cream flavour for every English county, and selected black garlic as its pick for the Island. Described as 'the Isle of Wight's most famous crop', The Telegraph awards The Garlic Farm's creation as the county's finest. The product mixes the slow-aged cloves, which have a subtle liquorice flavour, with chocolate and local milk and cream. This weekend is the Garlic Festival (Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16) at Hale Common. The festival is likely to be the perfect place to get your hands on the recently recognised ice cream and try it for yourself.
