Collection frequencies will remain unchanged, but every household will receive an updated calendar confirming its new collection days. Councillor Jacqueline Cameron, Convener of Renfrewshire Council’s Infrastructure, Land and Environment Policy Board, said: "We want to provide Renfrewshire residents with the best possible bin collection service, and these changes will further modernise and improve how we do this across 93,000 homes. The changes introduce a two-day collection model, meaning most residents will now have two separate collection days instead of one. Zero Waste Scotland funding has enabled the rollout of food waste recycling packs to 80,000 homes and improved recycling services for more than 8,000 flats. The assisted collection service for those who need help moving bins will remain in place and will carry over to the new collection days without any additional action required from residents.
