Buckinghamshire Council has granted advertisement consent for new BYD signs at the existing Advance Motors dealership at 500 London Road. Submitted drawings show the building’s existing Vauxhall branding being replaced with an illuminated BYD logo on its front elevation. The proposals also include illuminated “BYD Service” lettering on the side of the dealership, “High Wycombe” lettering and a six-metre-tall illuminated totem beside London Road. The application was submitted on June 18 and approved by council planning officers on August 6. Although the approved plans indicate that BYD is replacing the dealership’s existing Vauxhall branding, the application relates only to the display of advertisements.
