During the enforcement operation, a total of 330 transit houses were demolished along with 45 toilets and bathrooms. Additional Commissioner (Estate-I), BDA, Manoj Swain, Joint Commissioner (Housing), BMC, Ajaya Kumar Mohanty, along with senior officials from both BDA and BMC, were present during the enforcement operation. Elaborate security arrangements were made to ensure the smooth conduct of the demolition drive and maintain law and order. As many as eight JCB machines were pressed into service to carry out the demolition drive, BDA said in a statement.
