Economist and Professor of Finance Godfred Bokpin has questioned the quality of road infrastructure being delivered in Ghana. He argues that the country’s forefathers constructed more durable roads despite having less access to formal education and technical expertise. He said the situation was worrying at a time when Ghana had made significant progress in education, technology and professional development. He lamented that despite the advancement in education and the availability of highly trained professionals, Ghana continues to struggle with maintaining durable road infrastructure. "With more education and experience, we are building less durable roads than our forefathers did.
