The 29-year-old was charged in connection with the assault of a 31-year-old man on Bridge Street on Saturday, July 25, following a protest which began in Glasgow Green before spilling out through the city. The arrest came as a result of pre-planned action involving Police Scotland's Major Investigations Team which insists more arrests will be made. "The level of disorder, violence and intimidation we saw in Glasgow on Saturday, 25 July, was nothing short of disgraceful. "Violence, disorder, hate crime and threatening behaviour that poses a risk to safety is not legitimate protest. Anyone with photos or videos capturing criminality committed on the day is urged to submit it to Police Scotland's Major Incident Public Portal.
