Scottish Widows chief customer and digital officer Maria Herrero-Bullich said AI had the potential to simplify complex financial topics and improve consumers’ confidence in managing their money.
She added that consumers should understand the difference between AI tools provided by regulated firms and general-purpose AI platforms, as regulated services offer greater consumer protections.
