Kawhi Leonard believes that the agreed-upon blockbuster trade that will send him from the Clippers to the Raptors will ultimately go through before Toronto begins training camp next month, Jake Fischer of The Stein Line reports in his latest Substack article. The trade was agreed upon with the understanding that Leonard would negotiate a multiyear extension with Toronto in his second stint with the organization, Fischer adds. If and when the trade is completed, the Raptors will send forward Brandon Ingram, guard Gradey Dick, two first-round picks, one pick swap, and two second-round selections to L.A. Leonard had an endorsement deal with Aspiration, a now-defunct green banking company that also had a sponsorship deal with the Clippers. Leonard’s contract with Aspiration, described by podcaster and investigative reporter Pablo Torre as a “no-show” endorsement deal, prompted the NBA to launch the investigation.
