The New Forest Orchestra played to a capacity audience with brilliant young local soloist Rose Gosney, making for a memorable evening of music at St Thomas's Church, Lymington. Rose GosneyAlthough there was drama later in Beethoven’s iconic 5th Symphony the night’s mainwork was Bruch’s 1st Violin Concerto, a key work in the violin literature. The soloist was Rose Gosney, a violinist who has moved from a wonderful musician with a great technique to an artist of the very highest calibre, ably supported by the NFO. This concert was a wonderful example of music-making on the wing leaving an indelible imprint on your mind when you left with an uplifting experience, especially in the concerto. Andrew N.S.Easton
