Care home teams join race across the Forest

RESIDENTS from two local care homes have taken part in a Race Across the World-style challenge to tick off New Forest and Highcliffe landmarks.
Teams from Hartwood House in Lyndhurst and Mornington Court in New Milton went head to head with residents from Heathland House in Ferndown for the New Forest challenge.

Mornington Court emerged victorious, with 88-year-old resident Ann Bridge leading her team alongside wellbeing coordinator Charlie Kaspers and maintenance manager John Fry.
Organisers said the challenge highlighted the benefits of keeping older people active while encouraging social interaction and community involvement.
