Angry residents have set up a fundraiser to stop a housing estate being built on what they say is a “wildlife haven”. Developer Dandara wants to erect 149 homes on a site off Wainsford Road, between Everton and Pennington. David said one of their main concerns is how Wainsford Road will cope with the extra traffic generated by the estate. A spokesperson for NFDC said: “We are aware of local concern regarding the potential development of land off Wainsford Road, Everton. “It will be assessed on its planning merits, taking account of relevant planning policies and any material planning considerations, including comments received from local residents, consultees and other interested parties.”
