The Norwalk Athletic Department has announced six new members of the Norwalk Athletic Hall of Fame, representing decades of success across multiple sports at Norwalk. Lammers coached Norwalk baseball from 1995 through 2005, leading teams to state-qualifying appearances, district championships, and a conference title. Phil Trent, a 1959 graduate, made Norwalk history as the school’s first-ever state champion, winning the 50-yard dash at the 1959 state track meet. At Iowa State, Schmidt went 47-29, was a three-year letter winner, and earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors three times. The six new inductees add another accomplished group to the Norwalk Athletic Hall of Fame, celebrating Warrior success both at home and at the collegiate level.
