He leaves behind a legacy that spans more than four decades of music, community work and social activism.
Jamie later joined what is believed to have been one of the UK's first inclusive bands, The Dodgey Jammers, performing at festivals including Glastonbury and numerous venues around the country.
Together with his wife Anna, Jamie co-founded Emerge Community Arts, a not-for-profit organisation delivering music, drama and performance opportunities across Flintshire, Wrexham and beyond.
Emerge also forged a long-standing partnership with Addysg Oedolion Cymru / Adult Learning Wales, delivering courses throughout North East Wales for more than a decade.
