PROF. John Manuel Kliatchko, assistant dean of the Faculty of Arts and Letters (Artlets), was named council secretary of the newly convened Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC) of the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH), the country’s largest mental health institution. After a brief stint as Artlets secretary, Kliatchko was appointed assistant dean in January 2024, succeeding Prof. Melanie Turingan-Marcos, who became dean. The Artlets assistant dean was elected president of the PAP in September 2025 after previously serving as the association’s secretary and vice president. Located in Mandaluyong, the NCMH is the country’s largest mental health institution dedicated to delivering preventive, curative, and rehabilitative psychiatric and mental health care services.
