The concert on Saturday, July 18, included American Songbook classics, traditional spirituals, and a set of three uplifting pieces. The performance also featured clarinetist Christine Evans and local youngster Ewan Lawson, who played jazz piano and trumpet solos. A bucket collection raised £224.72 for the Feathers Association, which supports young people in the Welshpool area. The choir is now on a summer break until September 4, but will return to rehearsals on Friday evenings from 7pm to 9pm in the Old School, Guilsfield.
