(WNYT)- The Albany Firebirds lost the AF1 championship after a comeback fell short on the final play against the Nashville Kats. The title game ended Saturday in Nashville, Tenn., after the Firebirds erased a 21-point deficit and took the lead with 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Nashville Kats stopped Albany at the 1-yard line on the final play and won the AF1 championship 59-53.
