Images from the scene in Colney Street, near St Albans, show dark smoke rising high above the trees and countryside, following the blaze at Ventura Park on Old Parkbury Lane. Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was first called at 9.21am and dispatched 10 fire engines and an aerial ladder platform to tackle the incident. He asked people to avoid the area so emergency crews can "work safely and effectively". The incident has led to the full closure of the M25 in both directions between Junctions 21A and 22. National Highways said the closure was implemented due to the risk as well as smoke and debris affecting the carriageway.
