Amaravati: Agriculture minister K Atchannaidu has appealed to farmers across state to complete their kharif crop insurance registration by July 31, stressing that crop insurance is an essential safeguard against losses caused by droughts, floods, unseasonal rains and other natural calamities.
He said crop insurance provides critical financial protection for farming families and helps secure the year’s investment in cultivation.
Farmers can register through the PMFBY Crop Insurance Farmer App or with the assistance of Common Service Centres (CSCs), banks, Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS), and village- and mandal-level agriculture officials.
“Crop insurance protects a farmer’s year-long hard work.
Every eligible farmer should complete registration before the July 31 deadline and ensure full protection for their crops,” Atchannaidu said.
