Temporary fencing has again been installed at a bowling club plagued by vandals as New Milton councillors await the go-ahead for permanent screening. As reported by the A&T, the town council had set aside £15,750 in its 2026/27 capital expenditure budget to address the issue of items hurled onto New Milton Bowling Club’s lower green. The temporary screening is installed to protect New Milton Bowling Club's lower green from yobs until the end of the current playing seasonThese have been coming from the skate park area of the neighbouring recreation ground off Whitefield Road. Instead, they agreed that temporary fencing should be put in place, as was done last year, at a cost of £5,000. The bowling club’s season runs from April to September.
