The garden of remembrance at a woodland burial ground in Christchurch has become a “wasteland”, says a man whose parents are interred there. Frank Prowse (77), from New Milton, regularly visits Hinton Park Woodland Burial Ground, run by Natural Burial Grounds Limited, but says the area has “deteriorated” over time. She explained: “As a natural woodland burial ground, our approach to grounds maintenance differs from that of a traditional cemetery. This will involve removing the existing flower beds and replacing them with planted rows of wildflowers, creating “a more attractive and sustainable landscape that is in keeping with the natural character of the burial ground”.
