AdvertisementA DRIVER was caught travelling well over the speed limit on the outskirts of Limerick City over the recent August Bank Holiday weekend. That’s according to a post shared on the An Garda Síochána Limerick Facebook page, revealing that Gardaí from the Limerick Divisional Roads Policing Unit carrying out speeding checks across the long weekend clocked a driver travelling 147kmp/h on the M20 motorway by Dooradoyle. The speed limit in this area is 120kmp/h. As well as flouting the speed limit, the post revealed that the driver was found travelling with an under-inflated tyre while overtaking a line of traffic on the wet M20 motorway at Dooradoyle.
