Olly Marmon, 33, plunged to his death from the third floor of the hotel he was staying at on August 11, 2024. Mr Hensley, who was arrested for murder but later released with no further action, finished fourth in the 2012 series of the ITV show. The court also heard he is charged with “failing to ensure the health and safety of his employees by neglect. Emergency crews got to the hotel at 11.30pm but Mr Marmon, from Cambridgeshire, could not be saved and was declared dead at the scene. Mr Marmon and Mr Hensley had been in a relationship since 2009 with the couple announcing their engagement in 2014.
