Fire station open day raised more than £1,500 and was called 'incredible'

Whittlesey Community Fire & Rescue Station held the event on July 26, and said it was "incredible" after raising £1,520 for The Fire Fighters Charity. The event, sponsored by Dynamic Consultancy Solutions Ltd and Roy Gerner, featured a barbecue with meat provided by ABC Meats. The station's open day also saw support from community members Jayne and Chris, who volunteered their time. The station said: "The support from our local community was truly outstanding. "We were overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses and members of the public who donated prizes for our tombola."
