Vice-chancellors get Design Thinking crash course

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), in collaboration with Acharya Nagarjuna University, on Wednesday inaugurated a two-day workshop on ‘Design Thinking in Higher Education’ for Vice-Chancellors under the RUSA 2.0 programme in Vijayawada.
The workshop, organised under the guidance of APSCHE chairman Prof K. Madhu Murthy, aims to equip vice-chancellors with globally recognised Design Thinking methods to improve university governance, teaching, research, innovation, student engagement and overall institutional development.
The first day’s programme featured an introduction to the workshop, followed by interactive sessions on the basics of Design Thinking, the Empathy Phase and the Define Phase.
The sessions were conducted by Dr Mohan Kancharla, an internationally certified Design Thinking expert and independent advisor.
They worked together to develop practical solutions to issues commonly faced by higher education institutions.
